Elephants is known for food. And our flagship location is jam-packed with glorious specialty foods. But our employees are truly what make Elephants unique and they are passionate about what we make and sell. You could say we have specialty employees.
Here, some of our NW 22nd team members share their favorites:
Frankie Breaid from Cheese and Charcuterie with her favorite cheese Arpea de Vache. It is a French cheese made from thermalized cow’s milk with a soft edible rind.
Mike Heubusch, team member, with his favorite wine Domaine de Fontsainte, which is a deep red French Corbières wine at an awesome value ($15.95 a bottle!).
Kate Wadhams from Deli and Bakery, with her favorite granola made by local Portland company Blackbird. Kate’s favorite is the Blackbird Granola No. 3 blend which is aromatic with rosemary and contains organic oats.
Katie Prevost, Expeditor Supervisor, has a hard time choosing between her two favorite beers, the Burnside Brewing Oatmeal Pale Ale and the Gigantic Brewery IPA. Both breweries are from the inner east side of PDX.
Chris Remy from Cheese and Charcuterie has his favorite olive oil, the Frantoio Olive Oil from Oregon Olive Mill.
Remel Young from Grill has her favorite grill item, our Elephants Bacon Cheeseburger. Beef. Bacon. Cheese. No explanation needed.
