"This might be my favorite airport food ever! The soups are excellent, the New Mexico casserole is so much comfort. It's not much for ambiance or seating, but it fits the busy cafe atmosphere. Their staff are knowledgeable and keep the shop stocked with plenty of goodies and treats, in addition to the super healthy fare. Options to feed yourself shouldn't ever be as challenging as an airport makes it...this place is a gem, expect nothing less from PDX."

"A good meal at a good price. While waiting for our flight out of Portland, we needed to grab a quick bite to eat at the airport. Our daughter who lives in Portland suggested Flying Elephants. We didn't want anything heavy, just something to eat before our late afternoon flight. My wife and I had the vegetable beef stew, and were not disappointed! The oatmeal cookie was also especially tasty."

The tomato orange soup is especially wonderful, and the bagels are perfectly toasted. Next time I just might give into temptation and try one of the enticing pastries."

"Elephants is one of the most reliable places I know of to eat. They have everything in stock from sandwiches to hot food items to pop to dessert. We had the most scrumptious chicken and cheese enchiladas and chocolate mousse pie. As always, we talked and laughed throughout the meal."
