Bake to End Hunger

Elephants Delicatessen is proud to be a sponsor of the Bake to End Hunger, Partners for a Hunger-Free Oregon’s once-a-year celebration of the best sweet and savory treats (and drinks) Portland has to offer. All proceeds from this showcase and auction benefit the good people at Partners, supporting children and families across the state of Oregon struggling with food insecurity. This year’s confectionary carnival takes place on Wednesday, May 30th at the Portland Art Museum.

The Annual Warehouse Sale is Back

It’s time once again for Elephants annual warehouse sale. On June 5th, 6th and 7th our northwest location will be home to unbelievable deals on our favorite housewares and gifts. Linens, glassware, ceramics and candles will all be marked 25 to 75 percent off. Whether you’re looking for that perfect Italian vase or a full set of Jacquard table linens, there is certain to be something to make your house that much more a home. We release new items every day, so if you don’t find what you’re looking for on day one, drop in the next.

Save the Date: Mussels in the Garden

For one night, the Garden Room at our northwest location will be transformed into a restaurant de fruits de mer from the south of France. Join us on Thursday, June the 21st for a very special evening of freshly-cooked mussels and Mediterranean-style salads. Our executive chef Scott Weaver has designed a menu sure to please: fresh mussels cooked in your choice of broth, all served with grilled bread and a choice of delicious sides for only $22.95. A selection  of desserts and full wine bar round out this festival for the senses.

Mama Leone Goes Vegan

Perhaps our most famous and best-loved recipe, Mama Leone’s soup is synonymous with Elephants Delicatessen. Our chef has been hard at work developing a version of this customer favorite for our vegan friends, and we are proud to present his newest masterpiece. Whether you miss Mama’s from the past, or you’ve never tried it, our Vegan Mama Leone’s is sure to please. A sneak peak of this soon-to-be classic will be available from May 7th through the 13th at our northwest location.
