Welcome to the Garden Room at Elephants Delicatessen, the perfect location for your next event! Our unique dining space is available for private events seven days a week, including any level of service -  from casual get togethers to full service affairs.

What is the capacity of the room? 

The Garden Room accommodates up to 48 seated guests & 75 for a standing reception.

Is there a room rental fee?

There is no rental fee when reaching the applicable purchase minimum listed below.
$500 minimum purchase for day–time events (ending by 4:00 pm)
$800 minimum purchase requirement Sunday – Thursday evenings
$1500 minimum purchase requirement Friday and Saturday evenings
$2000 minimum purchase requirement for Friday & Saturday evenings in December

What is included in your suggested menus featuring “Per Guest” prices?

Package prices are based on a minimum attendance of 20 guests & include; tables, chairs, linens, china, flatware & use of our house flower arrangements.

Am I able to create my own menu?

Of course! Let us know your favorite Elephants dishes & we will create a custom estimate for you!  When selecting a custom menu the rental items listed above are billed in addition to your selected menu.

How are your menus served?

From stationary buffets to formal plated dinners, we are able to accommodate any combination of service for your event!

What about beverages?

Our beverage options are located on page 7 of our seasonal packet & features local & regional selections.  Hosted & non hosted arrangements avaialable & special orders are always welcome! 

What about staffing?

Staffing is billed by the hour @ $25 per hour/per person.  All events in the Garden Room require a minimum of one staff member in attendance arriving for set-up approximately two hours prior to scheduled event start & remaining one hour past event closing for clean-up.

Are there any additional charges or fees?

An 18% service charge (gratuity) is added to all food & beverage selections. Additional labor charges apply to events booked after store closing & for events requesting alcohol service.

What is the décor of the room?

The Garden Room boasts a beautiful corner gas fireplace to warm the space on cool days & a unique retractable roof with a view to the sky in the summer!

What about table arrangements?

Many table configurations are possible to maximize use of the space. We are available to create a custom table set to accommodate your event needs.

Is there music in the room?

Yes, we have an mp3 dock that you may use to feature your own selection of songs, or take advantage of our seasonal selections.

Do you have any Audio Visual equipment?

We have a full list of Audio Visual Equipment to choose, current options & rental prices available upon request.

What about parking? 

We have 45 onsite parking spaces that are shared with our retail store.  In addition to metered & non metered street parking we are accessible via transit on the Tri met bus line #20 & PGE Park Max Station.
Carpooling is strongly encouraged!

What is needed to book the room? 

A signed contract & security deposit in the amount of 50% of the applicable purchase minimum is required to secure your reservation. Please call today for availability!

Fireside Dinners with Elephants

Join your host, Chef Scott Weaver, for affordable elegant dining in our Private Garden Room on select Monday evenings. Enjoy Burgundy inspired wines from Westrey Wine Company paired with a four-course dinner prepared by Executive Chef Scott Weaver and special guests, Winemakers David Autry and Amy Wesselman. Westrey is known for some of the finest hand-crafted wines in Oregon as well as being two of the nicest people to have ever done punch-downs in the Willamette Valley. Seating is very limited.
