Happy New Beers!
Our beer buyer at NW 22nd has festive seasonal specials in both large & small formats. Sample our Belgian selection including giants from Cloak of Martin, Houblon Chouffe, & Scaldis Noel, which weighs in at 13% ABV. This one’s a bit on the boozy side, but it’s a tasty sipper with caramel notes, hints of anise, and a long warming finish - perfect for the holidays. It is the custom in Belgium to brew beers a bit bolder and stronger as a holiday gift to loyal patrons.
You’ll also find domestic seasonal from breweries Pyramid, Full Sail, Bridgeport, Double Mountain, Gigantic, Epic, & Three Creeks. Double Mountain’s FA LA LA LA strong ale features a jolly tune and bagfuls of the brewer's favorite hop, Centennials. The gentle balance of a strong malty brew will warm your heart and soul.
Pelican’s Bad Santa is almost irrationally smooth, an attribute not often associated with Black IPA, and packs in bales of floral hops on a long, lazy finish. Fat toffee, black coffee, blackstrap molasses, licorice, peppercorns, and jasmine make this interesting, sexy, and amazingly drinkable!
Epic’s Belgian style fruit ale pops with flavors of red raspberry and bubble gum, along with some peppery spice and candied orange peel. This is a sweet brew to start, but the finish wraps up with a nice mixture of the sweet and tart berries, another punch of bubble gum, and a moderate twist of alcohol that warms the belly.
